1. Controller and scope
This policy applies to Steady: Fasting Timer for Android, versions 0.1.8 and 0.1.9, and this informational website. Controller: JoGuVa Labs. Support and privacy contact: Privacy contact.
This version is in testing and uses demonstration ads. It has no Steady accounts, Google sign-in or server for synchronizing records. We will update this policy before introducing services that change how data is handled.
2. Data stored on your device
The app stores your active fast and completed records: plan, duration, start and end times, and information needed to calculate elapsed time. If you complete the profile, it also stores your name, age, current and previous weights, and target weight. It stores your language, appearance, unit and reminder preferences.
These data support the timer, history, summary, metrics and activity chart. The profile is optional. Steady does not automatically send your profile, weights or fasting records to its developer or to Google AdMob, and does not use them to select ads.
3. Notifications and permissions
Reminders are optional and scheduled on your phone. The app checks notification and exact-alarm permissions and may open Android settings so you can grant them. It reads time, time zone and elapsed time to maintain the timer and schedule reminders. These features do not need access to your contacts, camera, microphone, personal files or precise location.
4. Local technical log and optional diagnostics
Steady maintains a local technical log to investigate problems: starts, pauses, resumes, storage reads or failures, clock, reminders, ads and opening the email app. It may record an error type, a numeric code and up to two static references to Steady code; it does not store complete exception messages or the contents of your records.
The log holds up to 40 events. Events older than seven days are discarded when the app opens, records an event or reads diagnostics. When you report a bug, the diagnostics checkbox starts unchecked. You can review the text and clear the technical log before deciding whether to include it. An email includes no more than the latest twelve events.
Optional diagnostics include app version, language, theme, screen size and text scale, UTC offset, manufacturer and model, Android version, permissions, battery and automatic-time settings and, when Android provides it, the numeric reason for the last process exit. They exclude profile, age, weights, fasting history and dates, serial number, IMEI, advertising identifier and precise location. We do not automatically send this log to a server.
5. Suggestions and bug reports by email
If you choose to contact support, your email app prepares a draft addressed to Steady support. You review and send it. We receive the sender email address, name if included by the provider, text and attachments you choose to send, basic app metadata and technical diagnostics if selected.
We use this information to respond, investigate and improve Steady. Email is processed by your provider and Gmail, which receives the messages. We retain messages while needed to handle and follow up on the request or meet applicable obligations; you may request deletion. Avoid including health or personal information that is not needed.
6. Advertising and external providers
The app includes Google Mobile Ads from AdMob. Versions 0.1.8 and 0.1.9 allow test ads to be enabled; they are not production ads and do not generate revenue. The SDK and ads involve Google data processing separately from the local Steady profile.
The SDK may process IP address and approximate location inferred from it, device or advertising identifiers, ad interactions and technical performance data for advertising, analysis and fraud prevention. We do not send your weights or fasting history to the SDK. Categories and conditions depend on SDK version, configuration and device settings. See Google Mobile Ads data information and Google’s privacy policy.
Test-ad controls do not replace a consent form. Before distributing production ads, the applicable privacy messages and options will be configured and this policy updated. You can manage the advertising identifier in Android settings.
7. Android backups
Depending on Android and manufacturer settings, local data may be included in system-managed backups or phone-to-phone transfers. These are separate from Steady and from sign-in within the app. We cannot access those backups. Check their restore and deletion controls in your phone settings and Android backup information.
8. This website
This website presents Steady, support and this policy. It has no data-storing forms, sign-in, advertising or analytics tools added by Steady. Fonts and design resources are served by the website itself. Contact links open your email app.
Cloudflare Pages hosts the site. To serve and protect pages, Cloudflare may process request data such as IP address, browser and traffic information. Visiting this website does not send us your fasting records. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. External links are governed by their providers’ policies.
9. Retention, deletion and your choices
Records, profile and preferences remain in app storage until you change them or clear app data. To remove all local data, use the Android option to clear Steady storage; this also removes the timer and preferences. Local deletion does not delete system backups or previously sent emails.
You can disable reminders, revoke permissions, leave the profile empty, omit diagnostics and clear the technical log in report preview. Clearing that log does not delete the exit history maintained by Android.
To ask about, correct or request deletion of information you sent by email, contact our privacy contact. We cannot access or remotely delete your local records. We will address requests according to applicable obligations. We do not sell your profile, weight or fasting data.
10. Security and international services
Android restricts other apps’ access to Steady storage. Protect your phone with a screen lock. The website uses HTTPS when published on Cloudflare. Google, email and Cloudflare services may process information outside your country according to their policies. We do not promise additional proprietary encryption for local records or infallible security.
11. Minors and educational content
We do not seek to collect minors’ personal information through support. If you believe a minor has sent us personal information, contact us to review its deletion. Steady does not provide medical advice or fasting recommendations for minors. Optional profile age is stored locally and is not transmitted in technical diagnostics.
12. Updates and contact
The date on this page identifies its latest update. We will review it when the app, providers or data practices change, particularly before adding production ads, accounts or our own backup service. Where applicable, the necessary permissions or consent will be requested. For questions: Contact Steady.
